Our Community Involvement:

LIGHT THE NIGHT:  RMS-Safety says thanks to all who participated in the Light The Night Walk. The funds  raised for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) mission are truly making an impact. Since the first funding in 1954, LLS has awarded more than $600 million in research grants and has provided blood cancer patients with educational materials as well as financial and emotional support. This would not be possible without the generous support of people like you.

ACE MENTOR PROGRAM:  RMS-Safety's Kevin Peters, works with the Ace Mentor program in Indianapolis.  Founded in 2005 by 15 local architecture, engineering and construction firms, ACE’s Indianapolis chapter undertake projects that engage our high school students in virtually every phase of the construction process.

As project participants, students learn what industry professionals do to solve problems and how they perform the practical tasks involved in transforming an abstract concept into a building. The result is a “real-world” window into the industry and its career potential.

ABC of Indiana's Safety Rodeo:  On October 15, 2008, ABC of Indiana hosted their first annual Safety Rodeo. At this event, apprenticeship students and ABC field employees from all over the State had the opportunity to visit vendor booths, participate in “hands-on” safety-focused demonstrations, shop for PPE & tools and spend a fun & interesting afternoon thinking “SAFETY FIRST.”  Numerous vendors, suppliers, trainers & consultants were on hand that day to review & demonstrate a variety of topics to the area's workforce, and all ABC apprentices and field employees.  RMS-Safety's Dawn Stephens and Kevin Peters provided a presentation on Scaffold Safety, using a 4-Safety 1/3 scale scaffolding for hands-on training.
