Are you one of the many who were expecting OSHA to delay (again) their requirement for all crane operators to be certified?  If you were, you may be surprised to hear that OSHA published a statement on November 7 announcing this requirement will become effective December 9, 2018.  Not only that, but they also made some other revisions to the crane standard (Subpart CC).  The most significant change is the requirement to perform a documented skills assessment of each task an operator performs.  The new changes will become effective on February 7, 2019.  For more information on these new changes click here.
